As one of our longest serving team members at Effect digital, why do you enjoy it here?

As the longest serving team member at effect I have seen the company and the team grow in both size and skills. Being part of, and having an input in a creative, forward thinking team is the most enjoyable part of the job here.

What is the most challenging part of your role?

The digital environment is constantly changing and updating on how we use devices and interfaces. This leads to improving how we develop the things we build, which can be both challenging and fun to work with.

Why did you become a developer?

After leaving Uni I was keen to get a job related to the degree I had. This meant moving down to Leicestershire for my first job at a previous agency.  I started off as a designer then learnt how to do front-end development. This then progressed and I ended up as a front-end developer and moved to effect.

What do you do now?

Mainly front-end development and managing how development phases roll out for projects. But, all in all I dabble in a bit of everything.

If you weren’t a developer, what do you think you’d be doing instead?

Interesting question, maybe I’d be a carpenter, as I enjoy my DIY projects in and around my house. My most recent projects have been building a wood store and some garden furniture.

What would you have as your last ever meal?

6 pints of beer and a stone baked pepperoni pizza, Done.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

After contemplating and googling a number of different superpowers I think I will go for shapeshifting.
