The Brief

While international travel had temporarily taken a back seat during the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked closely with London City Airport in preparing for its return as the world reopened.

Together, we wanted to provide travellers with up-to-the-minute information on routes and key destinations – allowing them to stay informed and have a safe and enjoyable trip.

The solution

In order to achieve this we built a scaleable platform able to accommodate a growing list of destinations that integrated with trusted information sources to provide live and accurate data, and direct booking through Netflights enabling visitors to plan their journey with confidence.

At launch information covers travel restrictions, Covid case rates, quarantine/testing requirements and each country’s specific rules such as curfews, access to retail and restaurants etc.

Finally

As restrictions begin to ease, the Travel Portal has been designed to easily adapt to an ever changing landscape to deliver the most relevant information to travellers.

The site is built on Contentful’s CMS platform, providing London City Airport the necessary access and control to quickly update and maintain vital information whilst providing a lighting fast experience to portal visitors. Post launch we are continuing to support the portal with a paid media campaign, CRM strategy and ongoing optimisation based on visitor behaviour to provide a first class experience to visitors and results for London City Airport.
