The brief

The Savoy is London’s first luxury hotel and has been at the forefront of the luxury scene for 130 years.

Each Christmas effect is asked to support The Savoy across all of their activities dialling campaigns up and down based on occupancy and business need. For rooms and suites we were asked to encourage bookings with particular focus on UK, USA and Canada markets using messaging that emphasis the luxury ‘home from home’ sentiment.

The solution

Using Facebook's ad platform we were able to create multiple bespoke segments and creative for each market and publish advertising across Facebook and Instagram.

The campaign launched with a short awareness burst and followed with a retargeting campaign. By using this approach, we were able to focus on the quality of traffic and the enquiries generated based on the understanding that room bookings often require more than one touchpoint before conversion.

As we refined each stage of the campaign, we adjusted the call to action objective accordingly to reflect the stage of the journey that customers were on. 

As part of our budget management process, we analysed results regularly throughout the live campaign to ensure money was allocated to the creative and segments that outperformed.
